They make us laugh through the good and the bad, and they take us away from our problems for a little bit. Comedians all over the world are becoming bigger and bigger, whether they’re on YouTube or a big sensation all-over TV.
At school I’m a pretty funny kid, always making people laugh, but I still get time to work on the stuff I need to do.
I’ve always heard that laughing is the best medicine for any type of problem, and I believe in that 100 percent, because I know it helps me. Like when I have a cold and I curl up to a movie or book. Then you realize that you love infomercials!

I am now attending classes at Flatts & Sharpe music store. My teacher’s name is Ben, and he is in the band the HenHouse Prowlers. I hope one day I can play the guitar as good as he does!
I love going to my classes because I know I’m going to learn something new as soon as I step foot in the door. I mean just walking in is fun because you hear music of all sorts and you see friendly faces welcoming you in.
The song I’m learning is “Ring Of Fire” by Johnny Cash and let me tell you, it’s easier playing a song that you know. I love practicing at home because I want to get better for the next class.

I just came back from the awesome Illinois State Fair and let me tell you, it was AWESOME!
I asked Governor Pat Quinn “What are your hopes for Chicago school children’s safety this year?”
He did not really give me the best answer, but this was it: “ Just read a lot, try to stretch your vocabulary as far as you can and make sure to practice math a lot.”
I nodded then said thanks and asked him to take a picture with me. So, he did then asked me what grade I was in (I said sixth), and he patted me on the shoulder and said “readers are leaders.”

I went to the zoo, and I realized that the animals seem sad. Like they miss their family and their friends, who probably also miss them to this very day.
As the animals sit there staring at you through the glass and then look away, they probably wish they were us with such freedom. I mean, I would not like it if I sat there all day and just watched people as they knock on the glass to get a good picture of me.
Not only would I want to break through the glass and run away, but I'd take their cameras and take snapshots of people like me on the bus going back home.

I had a good one. First, my mother and I went over and caught up with our good old friends Mary and Neil, and they had some tasty pulled pork. Mary’s cooking always hits the spot!
Then my mother and I spent some time watching people shoot off fireworks at Pratt beach and I have a question: Is it me, or is it hard looking at all the fireworks around you?
For example: Boom! Turn your head to the left. Boooom Booom! Turn your head to the right. Ka Bammm! Turn your head back to the left, over and over again. I think my head still hurts a little.
